Hard Drive Installation Guide for Gateway Solo 9300 series notebook Computers
To replace the main hard drive:
1. Shut down your notebook, close the cover, and turn your notebook over.
2. Slide the 3.5" Floppy drive module bay latch and pull the module straight out from the
notebook. The main hard drive is located beneath the 3.5" floppy drive module.
3. Remove the two screws that secure the hard drive to the notebook.
4. Slide the hard drive away from the connector and remove it from the bay.
5. Remove the hard drive caddy from original hard drive and install it on the new hard drive.
6. Place the new hard drive in the bay and slide it into the connector.
7. Replace the two screws to secure the hard drive to the notebook.
8. Reinstall the 3.5" floppy drive module and connect the power.
Note:All hard drives listed on this page are bare drives only. You can re-use the original hard drive caddy or buy a new hard drive caddy in order to install the new hard drive.
