Problem: EZ-GIG diskette read/write error
Description:
EZ-GIG must be able to read/write information to the EZ-GIG Transfer Utility
diskette. Either the write protect tab is up or user licenses have expired.
Recommended Solution:
Check the position of
the write protect tab on the reverse side of the diskette. If the tab is down
and the error persists, your licenses have expired or the diskette may be
defective.
1. Reseat the floppy
diskette
2. Reboot the machine from the EZ-GIG Transfer Utiltiy.

Problem: EZ-GIG diskette has been removed
Description:
The EZ-GIG Transfer Utility diskette must remain in the floppy dirve until the
data transfer has started.
Recommended Solution:
1. Reinsert the EZ-GIG
Transfer Utility diskette.
2. Reboot the machine.

Problem: EZ-GIG is experiencing problems reading from the source drive.
Description:
EZ-GIG cannot read from the source drive by utilizing the SYSTEM BIOS. This
is usually caused by a slight incompatibility between the program and the
system's IDE controller or BIOS.
Recommended Solution:
Swap out the Hard Drives
and do the data transfer backward.
1. Put the NEW Hard
Drive into the computer and put the OLD Hard Drive on the end of the EZ-GIG
cable.
2. Reboot with the EZ-GIG Data Transfer Utility.
3. Insure that the Source
and Destination are correct. (Source should be EXTERNAL
4. Hit <CRTL-Y> to begin the transfer.
To change the source and
destination in EZ-GIG.
1. Hit <CTRL-U> on the
keyboard to enter the Utility Menu.
2. Hit <CTRL-S> to SELECT the source/destination drive.
3. Choose which drive is the source. (Should be EXTERNAL)
4. Hit <CTRL-S> to continue.
5. Hit <ESC> to exit the Utility Menu.
6. Hit <CTRL-Y> to begin the transfer.

Uninstall EZDRIVE from
the source drive.
1. Boot the computer
with the EZDrive diskette.
2. Hit <ENTER> when the license screen appears.
3. Highlight "Advanced Options" and hit <ENTER>.
4. Highlight "EZBIOS Setup" and hit <ENTER>.
5. Highlight "Controlled by EZBIOS: ENABLED" and hit <ENTER>.
6. Highlight "Exit Menu and Save" and hit <ENTER>.
7. Highlight "EZBIOS Setup" and hit <ENTER>.
8. Highlight "Uninstall EZBIOS" and hit <ENTER>. Hit "Y" when asked for
confirmation on the uninstall.
9. Highlight "Exit Menu" and hit <ENTER>.
10. Highlight "Exit Menu" and hit <ENTER>.
11. Remove the EZDrive Diskette and put the EZ-GIG Diskette into the A drive
and hit <ENTER>.
Retry the data transfer.

Uninstall any 3rd Party

Problem:
Description:
After booting from EZ-Gig
diskette, EZ-Gig reports only one drive is found. This is caused by EZ-Gig and
Mini PCI NIC/Modem combo cards attempting to use the same memory space and
cause a conflict.
Recommended Solution:
- Remove the Mini PCI
card and reboot the machine with EZ-Gig. After imaging the drive, Mini PCI
card can be reinstalled.
