Compaq Presario 3000 Series and Notebook 800 Series Hard Drive installation Guide
1. Turn off the computer. Unplug the AC adapter and remove internal battery
2. Turn the notebook bottom side up with the hard drive facing you
3. Remove the four TM2.5x7.0 screws that secure the hard drive assembly to the notebook (see above picture)
4. Slide the ahrd drive assembly forware and remove it from the hard drive bay.
5. Reverse the preceding procedure to install the new hard drive .
Note:You can use the hard drives listed on this page to replace the original hard drive. All hard drive listed here are bare drive only. You need to re-use the original hard drive caddy with the new hard drive to install the new hard drive into the notebook.
